Project Description
The two span bridge, possessing 2,856 square meters of deck area and constructed of post-tensioned precast girders serves in widening the Crowchild Trail corridor. Developed as a part of the LRT expansion into the communities of northwest Calgary, this is one of three major interchanges scheduled for the northern leg of Crowchild Trail. Addressing the City of Calgary's rapid growth, commuters will soon experience free flow travel from Nose Hill Drive to 24th Avenue, located at the south end of the University of Calgary campus. This overpass was opened 12 days early on November 18, 2005.
