Project Description

The Saudi/Kuwait PNZ Steamflood project involves the fabrication and delivery of Oilfield Steamflood Injection related equipment to a Joint Operation client in the Middle East.

The Joint Operation is between Saudi Arabian Texaco (SAT) (whose parent company is Chevron) and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC), who is developing a Large-Scale Steam Flood Pilot and will be located in the Wafra Field, Kuwaiti side of the Saudi/Kuwaiti Partitioned Neutral Zone (PNZ).

The Equipment package being supplied is worth $25 Million and consists of;

  1. Ten (10) Steam Generator (Once Through, SpliTflo™) Package Units provided complete with nozzles, flanges, specialized valves, instrumentation, local control panel to each unit for the main network tie-in, and electrical distribution panel on each unit for the main power tie-in. Each unit fabricated into a modular skidded unit.

  2. Three (3) Feed Water Pump Package Units provided complete with nozzles, flanges, specialized valves, instrumentation, etc.  Each unit fabricated into a modular skidded unit.

  3. One (1) Fuel Gas Package Unit to provide separation capacity to handle the cited slugs and extract all condensates of 100 barrel slugs of hydrocarbon liquids and sour water, at pressures that will range from 35-125psig. Total gas flow capacity of the site will be 14,000 sMCFD. Equipment is fabricated into a modular skidded unit.

  4. One (1) welded Liquid Fuel Storage Tank and two (2) Liquid Fuel Feed Pumps which are fabricated into a single modular skidded unit.

  5. Two (2) Rotary Screw Air Compressor units supplied with a 150 gallon receiver tank complete with nozzles, flanges, relief and drain valves, instrumentation, local control panel to each unit for the main network tie-in, and electrical distribution panel on each unit for the main power tie-in, fabricated as modularly skidded units.

  6. Two (2) horizontal welded steel hemispherical head drain collection vessels; one (1) to collect normal service effluent and one (1) to collect sour, particulate-laden, service effluent.  Sour Service Drain Vessel requires the furnishing of a VIC pump made of Hastalloy for all wetted parts.

  7. One (1) ProGauge Technologies Inc., High Performance Hot Water Separator for the steam discharge header.

  8. One (1) Power & Control Building

All the above equipment will be set on concrete foundations in Kuwait and final assembled within the skidded unit proximity.  All connections to / from the skidded unit will be performed by others.
